Affiliate Program Guidelines

1. Websites approved for use in the DefenderShield® Affiliate Program

In general, most blogs and websites will qualify for the DefenderShield® Affiliate Program. However, we retain the right to refuse blog and website membership and can revoke your membership at any time, if we determine that your website contains objectionable material. Your site must also be fully functional with original content. Spam or scraper sites will not be approved. If your site is still in its development stage, please apply after it’s completed.

2. Discount and promo-type websites

We are not offering public discount codes for affiliates at this time. Should you operate a coupon or promo-type website, please be clear in the description section of the Affiliate Program Application as to how you intend to promote DefenderShield®.

3. Promoting DefenderShield® without a website

Affiliate Programs supporting the DefenderShield® are most often through websites, but we recognize some markets have different needs. If you do not include a website to review, please define your plan in the description section on the Affiliate Program Application.

4. PPC (Pay-Per-Click) advertising

Bidding or acquiring any of our trademarked terms(DefenderShield®, DefenderPad®, Pioneering Protection®, including any variations or misspellings thereof for search or content based campaigns on Google, MSN, Yahoo or any other network is prohibited.

5. The use of DefenderShield® or DefenderPad® in a domain name

Any affiliate who intends to market a DefenderShield® name, including but not limited to DefenderShield® and DefenderPad®, in a top-level domain (e.g., www.DefenderShield-xxxx.com) must obtain written consent from DefenderShield® prior to execution. Generally, these trademark names cannot be used in domain names.

6. Affiliate Disclaimer

Affiliates who have obtained written approval from DefenderShield® to use DefenderShield® or DefenderPad® in a top-level domain must include an affiliate disclaimer in the site footer. For example: “This website is independently owned by an affiliate marketer of the DefenderShield®. It is not sponsored by DefenderShield®, which are registered trademarks of their respective owners.”

7. Using the DefenderShield® name in URLs, ads or promotions

We encourage you to use our brand in your promotions on your site but require prior consent by DefenderShield® for use of the terms DefenderShield® and DefenderPad® in Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Tumblr, Blogger or other social networking site URLs.

8. Promoting affiliate links on Twitter with the hashtag #DefenderShield

While we encourage our affiliates to engage and participate in DefenderShield®-related discussions using the Twitter hashtag #DefenderShield, spam links that include an obscured affiliate link are prohibited.

9. Affiliate Links on Pinterest Use

We encourage you to pin our content to your boards. However, undisclosed affiliate links on DefenderShield® related Pinterest pins are strictly prohibited.

10. Buying using your own Affiliate link

Affiliates are not eligible for commissions on purchases made through your own affiliate link. If there are special situations where your business makes sales in such a way, we ask that you get in touch with us. Under these situations, we can modify our processes to accommodate your needs.

11. Affiliate Program Violations

Please contact us if you have a concern that you may be violating any of our guidelines. It is likely that we can find a way to work through this without any issue.

Affiliates identified to be in violation of the Affiliate Program Guidelines will forfeit commissions on the specific transaction(s) in violation or all commissions assigned. Excessive violating party’s affiliate accounts will result in termination. Please contact us if you have any questions in order to work issues before they become excessive.
