Good to know

The shielding fabric covers the front and sides of the belly band. It does not wrap around the back. The band is designed to reduce wireless RF radiation from ambient sources (WiFi, Bluetooth, cellular, 5G low- and mid-band) reaching the front of your abdomen. The shielding is built into the fabric and does not need to be activated or charged. This is a different shielding technology than the Ultra Armor® used in DefenderShield’s device cases. The band stretches to accommodate your belly throughout pregnancy without needing to be replaced.

During pregnancy, when fetal development is at its most active, some expectant mothers look for ways to reduce the amount of ambient wireless radiation reaching their abdomen.

The DefenderShield® Pregnancy EMF Protection Belly Band places a silver fiber shielding fabric between your belly and the wireless signals in your environment. The shielding is built into the front and side panels of the band, blocking up to 99% of RF radiation from 300 Hz to 40 GHz - covering WiFi, Bluetooth, cellular signals, and low- to mid-band 5G frequencies. Shielding in the belly band is lab-tested for shielding performance.

The outer layer is a soft, stretchy organic bamboo/cotton blend that is gentle on sensitive skin and breathable enough for all-day wear. The band stretches as your belly grows - one belly band accommodates your entire pregnancy. Wear it under or over clothing, at home, at the office, during travel, or anywhere wireless signals are present.

How to use

Putting On the Belly Band

1. Pull the band up over your belly with the button edge at the top.2. Adjust the waistband. Pull the elastic strap with button holes and secure with the button closure at the top. The band should feel secure but never tight - zero pressure on your belly.

3. Center the shielding panel. Make sure the front and side panels are positioned across the widest part of your abdomen, where the shielding covers the most surface area.

4. Wear under or over clothing. The band works in either position. Under clothing is more discreet; over clothing allows easier adjustment throughout the day.

What the Band Covers and What It Does Not

• Covered: front and sides of the abdomen (where the shielding fabric is sewn).

• Not covered: back of the abdomen. The back panel is unshielded for breathability and flexibility. For full-body coverage during rest, pair with the EMF Protection Blanket.

When to Wear

• At home - near WiFi routers, laptops, and smartphones.

• At the office - surrounded by wireless devices and WiFi routers.

No real way to know if it's "working" but I'm hoping so. The silver lining is only on the front which I didn't realize. I do wish it was both sides. It also runs pretty small. I'm toward the bottom of the sizing range given for a large and I'm only 22 weeks (so plenty of growing left to do) and it's snug. I don't see how I'll be able to use it the whole way through. And for the price (plus the way the pics looked roomy and spacious with room to grow) that's a disappointment. I already often just drape or over my belly because it's uncomfortable how tight it is to wear especially in addition to already having to wear clothing :/

Quality Product!

I was on the fence for a while about purchasing an EMF blocking blanket/belly band, so I was grateful to read all of Defender Shield’s third party testing results. I purchased this knowing I would be flying several times and for everyday use. It’s very comfortable and I love the adjustable band. Very happy with this purchase!

Poorly designed

I just received my order and was surprised to see that the protective panel is only at the front of the garment. To offer protection to a growing foetus, the panel should be all around the foetus, not just on one side. Otherwise it is exposed. This is not a well thought-put design for this reason plus the garment moves a lot when wearing it- it does not go low enough. It ought to be a bodysuit in order to provide all-around protection. My understanding is that radiation comes from all sides not merely the front. I am disappointed in this purchase and hope that the company re-thinks the overall design. I would not recommend for these above reasons.

Thank you for contacting us, we are happy to assist you. Our belly band features shielding in the front and sides to protect your growing baby from EMF radiation exposure in utero. The skin and tissue between your baby and EMF emissions is very thin and radiation can easily pass through to your child. The back of the belly band is not shielded for two primary reasons.

1. The shielding material used in our belly bands is comprised of precious metallic fibers that do not lend themselves well to 'stretchy' applications. Leaving the back open allows the garment to stretch with mom and baby as they grow.

2. EMF radiation can only penetrate approximately 1.5' to 2' into the body and tissues. While it may seem as though EMF radiation emitted at mom's back would pass through to baby, her tissues will absorb any emissions before they can reach the baby.

Easy way to protect your growing baby

I bought this really early on, so it was too big to actually wear. I also bought the blanket. So, I take the belly band in the car with me and cover my belly while driving, as I know the car is full of EMFs. My belly is going, I should be able to wear it throughout the day soon!

The band was comfortable and easy to get on. My only issue was that I was expecting the shielding to go all the way around but it only covers the belly. If I knew that I would have probably bought the blanket instead

This is my second belly band. The first one S/M was too just, I sent it back, got reimbursed and ordered a new one - L size. The delivery to Switzerland was fast, 5 days. I like the quality and L size is much better, there is plenty of space for the growing belly.

Very good quality. I recommend it. I ordered S/M (2-8) size and it was just my normal size before the pregnancy. I am 173 cm, 63kg. So I sent it back to order a new one L size and was reimbursed. Now I have ordered a new one L size hoping that it will be a good size till the end of my pregnancy. I took measures of S/M belly band: width 42 cm, height on the sides 31 cm, height in the center front side 38 cm. Maybe it could be useful for someone this information.

I wear this almost daily and feel so much better working on a laptop all day. I will note that the band is a bit tight where the elastic is; it is adjustable, but even on the loosest button hole it was too tight. I'm a pretty small person, my hips prior to pregnancy are only a size 3 in pants, typically size small; I wear a 32 band size under the bust. But my baby sits low and I had to just detatch the elastic all together to be comfortable. So I would probably size up, especially since the band is adjustable! Otherwise though, I love that it's washable, comfortable elsewhere, and subtle. Will be using for all my pregnancies.

I was worried about guessing sizing with the belly protector. It fits great, and looks like it should grow to be perfect. Usually and xs in pants and a 30 rib cage. When tightened all the way it stays up and doesn’t fall below while I’m still very early on. Excited to try more products.
